The founding artists of this project are all living with mental illness and we feel what they're doing is inspirational and admirable. "Show support and buy a t-shirt" Their goal is to get local and emerging artists the experience, exposure and recognition that Halifax and the HRM has to offer. It is an all inclusive project, supporting artist from all walks of life, with workshops and art showings in various venues through out the HRM We feel his initiative to start this amazing program needs to be acknowledged so a big congratulations to Gavin and his partners for getting this project the recognition it needs and deserves. You can also build support for Outsider Insight by purchasing one of their many styles of t-shirts. We have a few samples here at our studio so you can see them prior to placing your order. Each shirt is $25.00 with a portion of all funds raised going to to the "Laing House Art Outreach" program. To contact Gavin you can reach him at gavin.outsiderinsight@gmail.com. Congrats Nancy, can't wait to see you in the new year!!!! ![]() Emmett Blois and Jillian MacLaughlin our favorite players from Big Brother Canada drop in for some ink... When we saw Emmett's name online the day after his last appointment, I thought I was seeing things.... All I could think was "We didn't finish the white" If only we had known he would be on one of the biggest reality shows, Big Brother 1, just days after we last saw him. He went in and played an amazing game and in the end almost won the entire thing. Now that he's back to real life and out of the house he's been on the go with numerous children's' charities, festivals, parades, and appearances. He's been an amazing rep for the East Coast and we hope he keeps up all the great work. With some time on his hands we finally got him back in the chair for a quick session but only a quick one as he now has a new business on the go. River Wranglers welcomes you to enjoy Tidal Bore Rafting on the Bay of Fundy, home of the world's highest tides. When we last saw him he was heading to Toronto to continue with his modelling and fashion career. All must be going well because on top of the many fashion shows and magazine spreads, he'll be taking part in Paris Fashion week this year! With a few minutes of down time he came in to visit his SOS family and finally get Eldrick to finish his angel wings that we started so many years ago. I think these wings symbolize a incredible journey that we were so happy to take part in with you Myles!!!!! Remember the name, you'll soon be seeing him everywhere...... ![]() Too long since his last visit - DJ IV is back in the studio... well our studio visiting his tattoo artist ~ Kyle. He's one of the best DJ's Halifax has ever seen...he travels the wold but never forgets where he came from - right here in Hali. Glad your home for a minute - happy we could a part of it. See you soon! Check out IV on facebook to see and and hear for yourself. ![]() Emmett Blois ~ A.K.A. "The Milkman" Big Brother 1 Canada Contestant A dairy farmer from Gore, Hants County, N.S. and one of our favorite clients heads off to be one of the first ever Big Brother Canada contestants. As he neared the end of the game as part of the final 3, his sense of loyalty got in the way as he kept Gary in the house, that move sealed his fate and he was evicted. If we couldn't see Emmett win, I'm happy to say his showmance Jillian did. Congrats to Jillian - it was one of the best and craziest endings I've ever seen in any of the BB houses. We also think he's doing an amazing job representing Nova Scotia at all his events. Every weekend you can check him out at one of his scheduled activities; local parades, at a Relay for Life, or just trying to help local children in need. Click on his picture above and LIKE him on Facebook if you agree! He has an amazing sleeve - unfinished - by Kyle LeBlanc at Sin on Skin tattoo Studio. |
