🖤 Long-Term Tattoo Care Even after your tattoo is fully healed, caring for it will help it look brand new:
📍What to know about Film Bandage Aftercare The film bandage used on your new tattoo will be worn for 3-5 days unless you have to remove it early due to irritation or damage to 2nd skin. During that time certain rules must be followed for optimal healing and results. If not followed, you VOID all guarantees. DO NOT wrap the area where the film is applied, let it breathe through the bandage. Keep the bar of soap you will use for cleaning your tattoo in a container or baggie to keep it free of dirt, bacteria, and dust. You want to keep it as clean as possible and only TOUCH your soap and tattoo with CLEAN HANDS!!! DO NOT go to the GYM for approximately 3 weeks to allow the skin to heal before you start to pull and stretch the area; which can cause stretch marks in the tattoo. You can also pick up bacteria that can cause infection or irritation at a gym, due to a lack of cleanliness and disinfection of equipment. Showering is allowed, but DO NOT allow water jets to beat directly onto the tattoo/film bandage area or submerge it in hot water. We want to prevent it from sweating under the film. Blood Plasma & Lymph Fluid may form under the film; this is completely normal and will accelerate the healing process. After 2-3 days the plasma & lymph fluid will begin to dry, and at this point you should NOT PEEL or PIERCE the film bandage. It's normal to see some fluid build up beneath the film bandage but if the bandage begins to leak or become uncomfortable, you must remove the bandage and follow the standard aftercare instructions. DO NOT
NO:
ALLERGY: Adhesive allergy is a possibility with this type of bandage. Film Bandages can cause allergic reactions to those with adhesive allergies. If you experience an allergic reaction, remove immediately and start standard aftercare. Contact your artist or a medical professional if the reaction is severe for support/guidance.
